My name is Victor Schmitt and I am President of Victor's International Model & Talent Management in New Orleans, Louisiana. This has been my business for over 30 years worldwide as a model, actor, agent and editor. The question for most people is, "How do I get started?" Most people do not think they can get started in a local or secondary market. Think again! Starting locally is probably the smartest way to start in this business. There is incredible competition in major markets with height and size requirements as well as skill level, and the possibility to sign a contract with a top agency in a major market is slim to none.

Unfortunately, ignorance seems to rule in this business over common sense. People make decisions on a whim, which ultimately ends in costly mistakes.
